IOSH Working Safely


IOSH Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must “work safely” – and this course addresses that need.
The IOSH Working Safely course teaches how individual and collective actions play a role in the health and safety of the workplace. This is a basic course introducing the main concepts or health and safety and their direct responsibilities. This course matches the Health and Safety Executive’s Passport syllabus and also meets the government guidelines for the introductory health and safety training.
People at any level, in any sector, needing grounding in the essentials of health and safety.

The IOSH Working Safely course is made up of the following modules:

Module 1. Introducing working safely
Module 2. Defining hazard and risk
Module 3. Identifying common hazards
Module 4. Improving safety performance
At the end of the training participants will:

Understand why they must ‘work safely’
Understand the difference between hazards & risks
Understand hazard identification
Appreciate and improve upon safety performance within the workplace
Hold a CSCS recognised health & safety certification.
An understanding of spoken and written English.
