The main three being:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Juniper:<\/strong> the cornerstone of any gin. It\u2019s what makes gin gin. Indeed the English name \u2018gin\u2019 is derived from the Dutch word for juniper: <em>jenever<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lime:<\/strong> He decided early on that he wanted a lime flavour in the gin.
